Jeffrey S. Covell

COVELL, Jeffrey S. Kalamazoo Jeff passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kalamazoo. He was born July 9, 1961, in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Kenneth and Roberta Covell. Jeff graduated from Portage Northern High School. He served honorably in the United States Navy for 17 years before returning to Kalamazoo. Jeff was preceded in death by his father in August of 2006. He is survived by: his mother, Roberta Covell of Onaway, MI; 2 sisters, Doris Kaiser and Rona Covell of Portage; 2 nephews, Marcus Harding and Philip Kaiser; a niece, Makenzie Harding and an uncle, Tom Dorothy Kingsley. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Private interment in Fort Custer National Cemetery will be held later.
