Jeannine Marie Jones

Jeannine Marie Jones passed September 12, 2024, at the age of 93. Jeannine was born March 31, 1931, in Kalamazoo to the late Charles and Hazel (Coulson) Clemens.

Jeannine worked in real estate for 35 years as a broker until she retired in 1993. She mastered skills in real estate, as a seamstress making her and her children’s clothes, and the art of slip cast ceramics post-retirement. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends throughout the years with holidays being extra special.

Surviving are her children, Sharon (David) Huey of Midland, David Ellison of Galesburg, Thomas Ellison of Portage, Melinda Kemp of Ypsilanti, and Kevin (Margaret) Jones of Rochester Hills; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Clemens; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jeannine in death was her brother, Charles “Jack” Clemens; her longtime companion, Elmer Homan; her daughter-in-law, Beatrice Ellison; and her great-granddaughter, Alexis Nichols.

Family will greet friends on Thursday, September 26, at Langeland Family Funeral Home Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, beginning with a visitation at 10:00 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South, 3941 S Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008, at 2:00 pm.
