Formerly of Hammond, IN Died November 4, 2012 at the age of 86. She was born November 6, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late James F., Sr. and Renna Mae Hasley Weaver. She was united in marriage to James J. Vellner on January 20, 1951 who preceded her in death on May 31, 1966. Surviving Jean are her children, Linda Jack Trantham of Richland, MI, Susan Tumosa of Dewitt, MI and James Vellner, Jr. of Chicago, IL; 2 grandchildren, Tracy Trantham-Tamblin; and Andrew fiancé, Hollie Wells Tumosa; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Jean in death was her brother, James F. Weaver, Jr. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, November 7th from 4-8p.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Hwy., where a funeral service will take place Thursday, November 8th at 11:00a.m. with Minister Scott Burdick officiating. Graveside service will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Comstock Church of Christ in Comstock, MI.
