Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009. She was born October 14, 1945 in Covington, KY, a daughter of Irwin and Lucille Ritzie Hall and had lived in the Kalamazoo area since 1965. Jean was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was employed at Save-A-Lot for 23 years. While she enjoyed fishing, Jean loved and lived for her Lord and her family. On April 26, 1974, she married James Kenneth Ames, who survives. Jean is also survived by her children, Timothy M. Alicia Holihan Harris of Eugene, OR, Tina M. fiancé, Kenneth Gordon Moore of Kalamazoo, James Kenneth Jennifer Ames II, of Kalamazoo, Terry L. Sarah C. Andrews Ames of Kalamazoo and Michelle L. Mainardi of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren, Amber, Jason, Brandon, Joshua, Aliyah, Calvin, Tyler, Mackenzie, Jacob, Adrianna and Abigail; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor Herb Hutchinson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Temple Baptist Church.
