Jay L. Remeur

Jay Lynn Remeur, age 61, passed away peacefully at his residence in Lansing, MI on June 26, 2015. Jay was born October 21, 1953 in Kalamazoo, MI, the youngest of seven children of the late Jule and Jean Norg Remeur. He was a longtime Kalamazoo resident until moving to Lansing 12 years ago. Jay had served in the U.S Marine Corps and was employed for over 40 years as a machine operator in manufacturing. He was a very hard working man who enjoyed living a private life. The best part of his life was the love of his significant other and loving caregiver, Susan Tran. Also surviving are his two children, Jennifer Allen Sparks and Jay Lynn Mandy Remeur, Jr.; grandchildren, Jordan and Jayden; siblings, Julius Leslie Remeur, James Ruth Remeur, Jacqueline Kenneth Bagnall, Jean Mulder, Judy Gordie Boelman and Jan Sharon Remeur and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1st from 1-2 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. where a service to celebrate Jay's life will begin at 2:00 PM Wednesday with Rev. Darin Youngs officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at a later date in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials in Jay's memory may be directed to a charity of your choice.
