Jason James Wagner

Jason James Wagner, age 48, of Schoolcraft passed away at home surrounded by his family on November 22, 2023. He was born December 15, 1974, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Jay C. and Sandra Sue (Hadden) Wagner.

Jason was well known to be the “go-to” guy for everything. He was always around to lend a hand; give advice to friends, family, or fellow Discount Tire employees; or provide people with the things they needed. His generosity and stability made him an integral part of the lives of those around him. Jason deeply loved his family and friends. He enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family and the annual “Sunday Gun Day,” where his friends gathered to share their love of guns and shooting. Jason worked for over 30 years at Discount Tire, which gave him a lot of opportunities over the years, including the ability to travel to many new places. He and his family also enjoyed camping, mostly all over Michigan, and watching NASCAR races.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Wagner; children, Jordan, Tara, and Chase Wagner; siblings: Sarah Wagner, Jay (Grace) Wagner, Dawn (Tory) McAllister, Carrie Wagner, and Brandon (Hannah Jewel) Pelkey; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 12:00-5:00pm at the American Legion Post 127, 4310 18th St, Dorr, MI 49323.
