Of Vicksburg Janice passed away Thursday morning, June 19, 2008 at Eaton Community Hospice in Charlotte. She was born April 24, 1930 in Georgia. Janice was employed by Eckrich Corp. for over 20 years until her retirement in 1988. Preceding her in death were her first husband, William Roe on July 28, 1982; her parents; 1 sister, Joyce Powers; and 1 grandson, Matthew Roe. Surviving are her husband, Jerry Zugel; 4 children, Bill Linda Roe of Oklahoma, Mark Mary Roe of Pinconning, Pam Terry Roe-Vanderberg of Dimondale, and Steve Cindy Roe of Galesburg; 2 step-children, Cheryl Bob Heckman of Shelbyville and Jerry Zugel Jr. of Gobles; 9 grandchildren, Dawn, Jennifer, Rachel, Valarie, Allison, Kelli, Kevin, April, and Zachary; 5 great-grandchildren, Emma, Zachory, Brian, Titus, and Isaac. Funeral services for Mrs. Zugel will be at 2:00 PM on Monday at Valley Family Church of Kalamazoo, 995 Romence Rd., with Rev. Jennifer Nederhoed officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 PM on Sunday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Eaton Community Hospice.
