Jane Loree Williams-Krum

December 5, 1936 — October 19, 2009

WILLIAMS-KRUM, Jane Loree Comstock Peacefully and gracefully she passed. After hard fought days, a few miracles and enormous health hurdles overcome, the final bow was taken on October 19. 2009. In a most unexpected and quick manner, Jane Williams-Krum faced her last struggle and quietly passed. She was a spark much larger than her diminutive frame with a spirit on fire. She was bold and firm in her manner with an engaging personality. Jane was a fierce champion for the people she believed in and harsh protector of her family and friends. Jane was competent in every endeavor she undertook. Whether by her husband's side in the electrical business, managing an electrical showroom, running the high school office or assisting with funerals, she approached her tasks with class and style at every job. Jane was most proud of her interests and activities with the twirling and guard activities of her daughter. She was an avid mother, tabulator, booster, travel companion and biggest supporter of Western's band, Comstock activities and competitive baton twirling in the United States and abroad. She saw the world through her daughter's sport and made amazing friendships along the way. Jane's grandsons Cody, Caleb and Cameron were her dashing young princes with her granddaughter, Sterling, forever her princess. Receiving their phone calls and visits made her week complete. Jane was lucky enough to have a wonderful marriage for 48 years to the love of her life, Norman R. Williams, who preceded her in death in 2003. Soon after, her life was completed with a second chance at love with Jean C. Krum, who passed in 2007. She knew how fortunate she was to be adored and cared for by such special men. The small town girl, born December 15, 1936 in Bangor, grew up to cherish life-long friendships, true love, elegant surroundings and a place to call "home". She leaves behind her son, Kip Williams, daughter Kyle Keiser, and former daughter-in-law, Mary Scanlon. Always missing her will be her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother and wife, James and Velma Holloway, sister, Marlene Sharpsteen and several special friends, including Sue, Sandy, Norma, Diane and angel, Connie McDade.
Style and elegance will never fade as the light on her life slowly dims. Jane's visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Funeral services will be held 11:30 Friday morning at Kalamazoo Community Church, 2435 North 26th St, with Pastor Dave Johnson and Mrs. Kathleen Nederhoed, officiating. Burial in Fort Custer National Cemetery will follow services. Memorial contributions in Jane's memory should be directed to the Comstock Public Schools Foundation or the USTA Benefactor Foundation.
