LEWIS, Mr. James W. II "BO"
Portage Passed away April 20, 2014 at age 68. Jim was born June 19, 1945 in Kokomo, IN, son of the late James and Rosalie Lewis. He served his country in the U.S.A.F. in North Africa. He attended WMU and retired as a pipefitter from Pharmacia. He was involved in scouting for 18 years, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout plus Silver Palm. Surviving are his wife and lifetime friend Susan Konewko Lewis, 2 daughters, Patricia and Ron Brosofske, their children Paige and Olivia, Deborah Burrill, son Branden and daughter Allysen; sister Virginia and Hugh Flickinger, Sandy and Jerry Bogema and their children; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. His passion was the great outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting and special times were fishing and hunting with grandson Branden. He will be cremated. There will be a gathering, Wednesday, April 23rd, from 6-7:30 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a brief prayer will be offered at 7:10. Contributions in his memory may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
