James Kenneth Walker, age 69, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born on May 4, 1948 in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Clare and Helen (Hall) Walker and had been a lifelong area resident. Jim was a tool and die maker and retired in 1999. He was employed by several local companies including Humphrey Products, Whitehead Tool and Die, Associated Tool and Engineering and Jarvis-Pemco. On December 19, 1970 Jim married the former Gail Valkner who preceded him in death on November 19, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen Keeler. Jim is survived by a daughter, Tonia Walker; a son, Eric Walker; five grandchildren, Devon Hollister, Derek Hollister, Aiden Demott, Jayden Demott and Midajah Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Jazper Sorrell, Kayleigh Hollister and Hailey Hollister; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11 from 12-4PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Cremation will follow and private inurnment services will be held at a later date.
