VANLOO, James Cornelius
of Kalamazoo Passed away suddenly on September 15, 2010. He was born in Kreinigen, The Netherlands on March 6, 1924. He immigrated to the United States in 1953. He was employed with Upjohn Co for 27 years until he retired. In his younger years he was a soccer coach and loves all sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings hockey. He was also an avid bowler. His daughter Ada Harridine predeceased him 20 years ago. Also preceding him in death were his parents, Cornelius and Antonia Dance VanLoo; brothers, Jacob, Arie, Pete, Leo and Jantje; sisters, Maria, Christina, Jacoba and Adriana. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Martina VanLoo; step daughters Margaret Diamond and Elizabeth Coolidge; and sons Frank & Jimmy VanLoo; sister Cora VanKrimpen; niece Connie Hodgekins; nephew Bass VanKrimpen; grandchildren and great grandchildren and also his loving dogs, Sammy and Diago. Jim will always be fondly remembered by his wife Martina for the care he gave her through the years and the father figure he became to his stepdaughters. In compliance with his wishes, there will be no funeral service and a private memorial will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
