Portage, MI Died Thursday morning December 4, 2008 at his residence. James was born October 2, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Frank and Dena Huizenga Tracy. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Harris Trucking Company for 25 years. He was also a member of the Schoolcraft Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents; On October 26, 1963, he was united in marriage to Judith L. Porter Tracy who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, Thomas Tracy of Doniphan, MO and Jeffrey Tamara Tracy of Mendon, MI; 4 grandchildren, Courtney, James Lane, Danielle, and Jessica; 2 great-grandchildren; Haleigh and Makayla; 3 brothers, Kenneth Tracy of Arkansas, and Robert Marion Tracy and William Tracy all of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family 6-8pm Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Private burial will take place at a later date.
