James H. Reaume, Sr

REAUME, James Sr.
Of Portage Jim passed away Saturday morning, July 19, 2008 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born August 17, 1924 in Wyandotte, MI, the son of the late William and Nellie Wittrig Reaume. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp. serving during World War II, and was a member of the Comstock VFW Post #6252. On June 21, 1947, he was united in marriage to Dolores Terrill, who preceded him in death on February 12, 2002. Also preceding him in death are 2 brothers, Ronald and Jack Reaume; and 1 sister, Virginia Quick. Surviving are 6 children, James Jr. Joyce Ampey Reaume of Kalamazoo, Cheryl Darner of Kalamazoo, Harold Bertha Reaume of Florida, Donald Reaume of Kalamazoo, Peggy John Davidson of Scotts, and Alan Cheryl Reaume of Kalamazoo; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Marjorie Ray Hanning of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street, with Msgr. Michael Hazard celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday tomorrow at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue with a rosary at 7:30 PM.
