Kalamazoo, Michigan Died peacefully September 26, 2008 at his home, after a hard fought battle with cancer. James life began September 28, 1943 in Kalamazoo, where he lived all his life. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and cards with friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. His family includes his wife Patricia, his children and their spouses, Rob Quackenbush, Debbie Quackenbush, Karen Mike Wendt, Laurie Cochran and Jamie Dustin Folk; 2 stepsons, Tony and Andy Brewer; his 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Cody, Alyssa, Tyler, Trenton, Alexie and Kayleigh; 1 brother Robert Char Quackenbush; 2 sisters, Jackie Clickner and Linda Phil Head. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Blanche Quackenbush. A visitation will be held, Tuesday the 30th from 1-3:00PM and 5-7:00PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.. A private interment will take place at a later date.
