POTTS, James D. Kalamazoo Went to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2007, at Heartland Health Care in Kalamazoo, Michigan. James was born August 30, 1921 to the late Allen and Minnie Cramer Potts in Kalamazoo. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, during WWII, until honorably discharged in July of 1951. He married Genevieve Louise Smith on October 11, 1944, in Kalamazoo. She survives. James was a member of the North Park Reformed Church in Kalamazoo. He enjoyed all sports, especially fishing, hunting and the game of golf. He is also survived by his children; Karen Donald Chickering of Belding, MI, Donald Cindy Potts of Plainwell and David Potts of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Rebecca Potts of Alexandria, VA, Jeffrey Potts of Denver, CO, Jamie Derrick Ricca of Kalamazoo, Jessica Potts of Kalamazoo, Casey Shannon Potts of Plainwell and Joseph Potts of Plainwell, great grand children; Aiden and Brody Ricca, both of Kalamazoo; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding James in death were; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will take place Wednesday, January 31, 2007 from 2 ? 4:00pm and 6 ? 8:00pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick, Kalamazoo. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 1, 2007, 1:00pm at North Park Reformed Church, 1316 Barney Rd, Kalamazoo, Reverend John Smith, officiating. A private family committal service will be Thursday, February 1, 2007, 11:00am at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to North Park Reformed Church.
