OSWALT, James Robert Bob
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away August 12, 2009 at his home. He was born October 2, 1923 in Clinton, Indiana to the late James and Marie DeCamp Oswalt. He was united in marriage on July 29, 1946, to Mary Jane Branch, who survives, for a loving 63 years together. He had many hobbies and interests, including furniture building and gardening. Surviving are his children, Linda Jacob Westra of Schoolcraft and Karen Mark Wilgenhof of Plainwell; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; sister, Mary Harold Brininger; one aunt, June Frank Sandoval; sister-in-law, Mae Oswalt; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was a brother, Tom Oswalt. A visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8:00pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where services will take place on Saturday at 11:00am, Rev. James Dyke, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's name may be directed to Hospice of SW Michigan.
