Allegan, Michigan Jim passed away early Thursday morning, June 26, 2014 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born on October 6, 1941 in Allegan, the son of Albert and Pauline Pike Lampros. Jim was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam Conflict and earned the rank of Corporal. On February 29, 1964, he was united in marriage to the former Linda Little. He was employed by Rockwell International for 34 years until his retirement in 1996. Surviving are his three sons, Randy Donna Lampros of Allegan, Shawn Terry Lampros of Coloma and Mike Stephanie Lampros of Kalamazoo; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Paulette Ted Gorby and Candy Rod Grauman both of Allegan; brother, Raymond Sharon Lampros of Allegan; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Lampros on July 7, 2006; his parents and infant brother, Michael Lampros. Honoring Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Wings of Hope Hospice.
