Kalamazoo Passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 19, 2013. James was born February 20, 1970 in Sciota, PA and was a resident of the Kalamazoo area for many years. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Kress; a daughter, Jasmine Kress; 2 step-sons, Joshua Lepley and Alexander Harps; his brothers, Donald Kress, Ernest Kress, Richard Kress and Charles Kress and their spouses; his parents-in-law, Connie and Edward Born; many nieces and nephews; a half-sister and a half-brother. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 11:00 in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Rev. Dar Vander Wal officiating. Interment will take place in Genesee Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. For those who desire, memorial donations may be made to the Constance Brown Hearing & Speech Center, 1634 Gull Rd., Suite 201, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
