KONING, James A.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died December 20, 2008 in Kalamazoo. He was born November 24, 1919 in Kalamazoo, to the late Henry and Elsie Keizer Koning. Jim was united in marriage on July 18, 1942, to the former Pearl E. Walters "Peg", who preceded him in death in June of 2004. He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church for many years. Surviving Jim are his children, Judith Sam VanTil of Crown Point, IN, Janis William Malpass of Grand Rapids and James Diane Koning of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 3rd, 3:00 PM at Trinity Reformed Church, 326 W. Cork Street. A private family committal service will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
