James L. 'SSG' Kloth

KLOTH, Mr. James L. "SSG" Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday morning February 14, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence. James was born September 12, 1944 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of John Kloth Sr. and Ardeth Heaven Kloth. He retired from the U.S. Army & Michigan Army National Guard after 23 years of honorable service. James had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, John Kloth Jr. and Kenneth Rutherford. James is survived by his children, Treasa and her husband Lewis Davidson II of Galesburg, Tammy Hoffman of Kalamazoo, and Brian Kloth, James Byer and his wife Krista; 9 grandchildren, Kassandra Kloth, Alexandra and Lewis III Davidson, Haillie Brown, Curtis, Joshua, Cody and Tiffanie Proctor, and Brody Byer; 3 great-grandchildren, Lillyana, Arrayah, and Aiden; 3 brothers, Bob, Bruce and Dennis; 2 sisters, Sharon and Beverly; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 1 o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans.
