Miller, James Edwy
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the age of 64 years. He was born in Kalamazoo on July 23, 1948, the son of the late John and Lois Franklin Miller. He graduated from Portage Central High School. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Lakewood Builders. He was a talented woodworker who made fine furniture and enjoyed sailing. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Palmini Miller; three children, Heather Byrd of Farmington Hills, Jamie Rickey Lynch of Kalamazoo and Kaley Miller of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Sarah Byrd, Brook Byrd, Rickey Lynch III and Avery Lynch; one sister, Debbie Fenwick of Plainwell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jan Baldwin; and his brother-in-law, Doug Fenwick. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., where a memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monsignor Michael Hazard will officiate.
