Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, December 10, 2007. James was born April 23, 1918 in Alexandria, IL the son of James and Lona Dunn Burdette and had lived in the Kalamazoo for 60 years. He served his country during WW II in the United States Navy and had retired from the Kalamazoo County Road Commission. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, the former Noel Jean Mort in 1987. He is survived by his children, Nolene Thomas Meyers of Vicksburg, James J. Burdette and Terry A. Burdette both of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Justin James Amy Moberley and Travis Owen Meyers; a great grandson, Owen York Moberley; and a sister, Lorraine Grosser of Traverse City. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a committal service will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 PM at Fort Custer National Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
