Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday afternoon December 4, 2007. James was born November 30, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Clyde and Margarite Osborn Bartlett. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kelly; and a brother, Gordon. On July 16, 1993, he was united in marriage to Brenda K. Strauss Bartlett who survives. Also surviving, 9 children, James Bartlett, Jr., Crystal Bartlett, and Ronnie Hanson all of Wisconsin, James Sheets of Kalamazoo, Donna Bartlett of California, Travis Jessica Strauss of Kalamazoo, Ashley Jack Taylor of Portage, Amber Ari Koss of Howard City, MI, and Matthew Strauss of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters; 5 brothers; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo or the West Michigan Cancer Center.
