Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday morning December 25, 2008 at his residence. James was born December 15, 1954 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Richard and Beverly Kellogg Thompson. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Thompson in 2008. He is survived by his companion, Rose Quick of Kalamazoo; a son, Joel Thompson of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren; his mother, Beverly Thompson of Kalamazoo; a sister, Beverly Glasser of Kalamazoo; 2 brothers, Richard Debra Thompson of Kalamazoo and Maxwell Thompson of Plainwell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
