Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away June 25, 2008 at Laurels of Galesburg. Jacob was born November 9, 1927 in Kalamazoo to the late John and Florence Klooster DeBlecourt. He was united in marriage to Anna Hamlin on January 14, 1972 in Portage, who survives. He was an active member and very dedicated to the Northeastern Baptist Church, for many years. He was a man who enjoyed fishing and loved to camp with family and friends. Jacob is also survived by his children, Don Kathy DeBlecourt, James DeBlecourt, Bill DeBlecourt and Rick Robin DeBlecourt, Jerry Tabbia, Larry Mary Jane Tabbia and Pat Tabbia; grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, and Sarah Tabbia; sister, Bertha VanderBerg;Brothers-in-law, Steve Mattie Hamlin and Fred Joan Hamlin and; many nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Louis DeBlecourt and Peter Anna DeBlecourt and; sisters, Johanna Herman Penning and Teresa VanderVos; daughter-in-law, Julie Reynolds Tabbia; brother-in-law, Bob Hamlin, sister-in-law, LaVerna Bud Baker. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7:00PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 11:00AM. in the Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery Chapel. Family invites friends for a fellowship time immediately following the graveside services, at Northeastern Baptist Church.
