SCOTT, Jack A.
Galesburg Jack passed away Tuesday morning, January 15, 2008 at his home. He was born November 16, 1934 in his family home in Comstock, the younger of two sons to the late Clarence and Leatha Burnett Scott. Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by several paper mills and retired three times. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and golfing, and even shot seven hole-in-ones. Surviving are his wife, Colleen Stanley Scott; two children, Ronald Cathy Scott of Vicksburg, Tammy Darrick Scott-Farnsworth of Augusta; five grandchildren, Monica Brad King, Terry Scott, Tyler McKinney, Mitchell Rowe, and Faye Scott-Farnsworth; one brother, Carl Nancy Scott of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Scott will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
