LINGBEEK, Jack J. Of Kalamazoo Jack J. Lingbeek was born August 29, 1930, in Kalamazoo, the son of Jacob and Gertrude Schipper Lingbeek and went home to be with his Lord April 20, 2011, in Kalamazoo. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army and later co-owned Kalamazoo Biscuit Company for 32 years. He was a member of the Covenant United Reformed Church. On March 18, 1955, he was united in marriage to the former Wilma J. Sander, who preceded him in death on December 16, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard. Surviving are three children, Sandy Stan Heeres of Kalamazoo, Jack A. Lingbeek of Kalamazoo and Jim Ruth Lingbeek of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Christopher Jennifer, Kevin, Brandon, Michelle, Heather and Tyler; a brother, John Lingbeek and in-laws, Nell Lingbeek, Jim Terry Sander and Kathleen Sander; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-5pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 25 at Covenant United Reformed Church 3724 Lovers Lane with Rev. Arthur Besteman officiating. Interment will be in Mt.
