Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday morning August 8, 2010 at his residence. Jack was born December 13, 1922 in Peoria, Illinois a son of Fred and Cora LaRoy Corson. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated the Corson Swimming Pool Company for 46 years, retiring in 2005. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Carl Corson; a daughter, Bonnie Corson; and a brother, Roy Corson. On July 24, 2002, he was united in marriage to Louise M. Mitchell Corson who survives. Also surviving, 6 children, Vincent J. Corson of Mesa, AZ, Kathy Dr. James Cox of Richmond, VA, Dan Connie Wentzel of Kalamazoo, Larry Julie Wentzel of Portage, Garry Wentzel of Kalamazoo, and Michael Jay Wentzel of Washington State; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
