Iva M. James

JAMES, Mrs. Iva M. Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday morning May 13, 2007. Iva was born April 4, 1918 in Casper, Wyoming a daughter of James and Minnie Sumner Galusha. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers and sisters, Clarence, Veva, Florence, Doris, and Wray; a son-in-law, David Newhouse on June 24, 2003; and a grandson-in-law, Rick Aukerman. On May 11, 1937, she was united in marriage to George W. James who survives. Also surviving, a daughter, Penny Newhouse of Kalamazoo; 2 sons, Mike JoAnn James of Climax and Jesse Donna James of Kalamazoo; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Delma Taylor of Casper, WY; a brother, Orville Galusha of Cody, WY; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o?clock Wednesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
