Irene Talitha Campbell

Irene Talitha Campbell of Kalamazoo, Michigan, died on May 4, 2024, at the age of 68. Irene was born in Kalamazoo on August 8, 1955, to the late Glen and Marilyn (Tackett) Campbell.

In her youth, Irene enjoyed going out with her friends and playing softball. As she got older, her interests turned to karaoke, bingo, and playing games on her phone. Above all else, Irene loved her family.

Irene is survived by her children, Franklin (Amanda) Campbell and Christina Burgen York; grandchildren, Ashlee Burgen, Melissa Burgen, Cheyenne Contreras, Maygen Burgen, Kristen Campbell, and Ethan Burgen; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandy Campbell, Edmund Campbell, Roy Campbell, and Maxine Campbell; numerous nieces and nephews in Texas and Michigan.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Charles Burgen; ex-husband, Dale Lapham; her parents; grandchildren, Jackson and Joenah Campbell; siblings, Gladys Marie Douglas, Jeff Campbell, Danny Campbell, and Amelia Myers; special friend, Victor Branch.
