REARDON, Iline Elizabeth
Of Portage Iline passed away Friday afternoon, September 16, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born August 29, 1932, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Walter and Myrtle Eckelbecker Hunter and has been a lifelong area resident. On May 21, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Dean Reardon. Iline and Bob operated a group day care in their home and had touched the lives of hundreds of children throughout the years. They also enjoyed spending time camping at their special land near Baldwin; but the most important part of their lives was their family. Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert, in 2009; her parents; and brothers, David and Wesley Hunter. Surviving are her daughter, Tonya; granddaughter/daughter, Leanne Reardon; grandchildren, Stephen Gray and Jessica Gray; brothers, Richard and Gale Hunter; sisters, Patricia Call, Sharon Gill and Darlene Schultz; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre St., where a service to celebrate Iline's life will be held 11:00 AM Monday. A private family entombment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Mausoleum at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Iline's memory may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
