COLLINS, Howell V.
of Portage Age 74 Passed away February 15, 2010 at Bronson Hospital. He was born July 19, 1935 in Decatur, AL to the late Vernon and Martha Norris Collins. Howie was united in marriage on January 2, 1960 to the former Maureen Sullivan, who survives. Howie was very proud to live in Portage where he owned and operated Certified TV and Audio for over 25 years. Howie was a certified pilot and classic car restorer. He loved summer and golf. Also surviving Howie are his children, Scott Peggy Collins, Candy David Lewis and Jeffery Collins all of Portage; and several grandchildren. Also preceding Howie in death was an infant brother. Family will greet friends on Thursday and Friday from 6 - 8:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Private services will be held for family. Memorials may be directed to the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan, 1921 W. Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
