Hilda Knapper Koning

KONING, Hilda Knapper Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Monday, December 4, 2006, at Holland Home, Fulton Manor, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Hilda was born January 1, 1913 to the late Joe and Ellen Koning Knapper in Kalamazoo. She married Garret Koning, June 5, 1937, in Kalamazoo. He preceded her in death in 1946. Hilda loved her family, first and foremost and was especially a wonderful grandmother. She was a member of the 2nd Christian Reformed church of Kalamazoo for many years, where she also taught Sunday School for much of that time. Surviving her are; son, Paul Alan Johanna Koning of Jenison; grandchildren, J. Todd Marcy Koning of Ireland, Erin M. Koning of Chicago; a niece, Sharon Marcon; and great grandchildren, Madelyn, Gretel and William. Preceding her in death were; granddaughter, Kimberley Ann Koning; sisters, Alice Roodbergen, Jeanette Adams; and a brother, John Knapper. Services will take place Friday, December 8, 2006, 2:00P.M. at the Second Christian Reformed Church of Kalamazoo, Rev.Dr. Warren Lammer, officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:30 ? 2:00P.M., prior to service. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
