DIXON, Hezekiah Jeremiah "Hezzy"
Of Kalamazoo Hezekiah passed away early Sunday morning, July 4, 2010 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born July 17, 2009 with a twin brother who passed shortly after birth. Hezzy struggled with numerous conditions where the doctors could no longer do anything else for him. He spent mostly all his life in Bronson Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Hezzy came home in May where he later was hospitalized at Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Hezzy was again able to come home. He stayed home a good wonderful month where he brought so much joy and laughter. Hezzy was a breath of fresh air. He gave us courage when we were afraid; he gave us hope when we had none; he gave us strength when we were weak. He showed us what unconditional love was. Hezzy fought a good fight and now Hezzy's journey here on Earth has ended. Now he's an angel in Heaven watching over us. He now has his wings, now you can fly like an eagle. Hezzy has touched our lives in such a loving way. He lives in our hearts and souls. He leaves behind to cherish his memories 2 brothers and 4 sisters, Andre Dixon, Alex Abbott, Nautica & Raesheana Robertson, Alexis Abbott, Brianna Pratt, all of Kalamazoo; his parents Tasha Dixon and Alex Pratt; grandmother Bessie Dixon; 2 aunts, Linetta Dixon, Edwena Dixon; 1 uncle, Paul Pratt, and a host of cousins. Thanks to the Bronson NICU staff for all their love and support and to the Bronson PICU staff. To all the wonderful doctors, nurses, respiratory staff, all the specialists and special thanks to Dr. Leinward and Dr. Downy for fighting with us to the very end. Additional thanks to Carol Kurtz and Melody Couch for loving Hezzy until the very end. And a special thanks to Pastor James Tipton for always being there Hezzy is gone but he will never be forgotten. There will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Please visit
