Portage, MI Died Sunday evening April 24, 2011. Hazel was born February 7, 1931 in Trumann, Arkansas. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since the 1950's and was employed with Sutherland Paper Company for 42 years before retiring. Hazel was a member of the Milwood United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #5855. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Harrington in 2007; an infant daughter; 2 brothers, Everett and Murlia Hinds; and a sister, Louise Bucknell. Hazel is survived by 2 sons, Michael Harrington of Augusta, MI and Randy and his wife, SonMi Harrington of Galesburg; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Hinds of Plainwell; a sister, Inise Crawford of Delton; caregiver and friend, Charlene May Fell of Portage; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 2 o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice. www.langelands.com . 269-343-1508.
