HADAWAY, Hazel L. Of Kalamazoo Hazel passed away Monday July 2, 2007. She was born August 27, 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Al and Amanda Cranfield Walden. She was a longtime charter member of the Church of God Family Worship Center. On June 11, 1936 she was united in marriage to William D. Hadaway who preceded her in death on January 16, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles Hadaway in 1969; and by 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Surviving are her children, Grace Cornell of Kalamazoo, Nancy Richard Barnett of Galesburg, David Sandy Hadaway of Parchment, Alvera Fredericks of Kalamazoo, Linda Hadaway of Kalamazoo, Rosemary Rick Ballinger of Galesburg, Joseph Joyce Hadaway of Kalamazoo, Jerry Kathy Hadaway of Paw Paw; daughter-in-law, Sarah Robert Boyd of Chattanooga, TN; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe Walden of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; many nieces and nephews and her best friend, Margaret Martin. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday at the Church of God Family Worship Center 5841 East H Ave with Pastor Edward L. Davis officiating. A private family interment will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials in Hazel?s memory may be directed to the Church of God Family Worship Center Building Fund.
