Harry Leng

LENG, Harry Augusta Passed away May 8, 2007 at his home in Augusta. Harry was born June 29, 1929 in Kalamazoo, a son of the late Leo H. and Mary Grace Bentley Leng. Harry graduated from Bluffton High school, Indiana. In May of 1950, he began his service in the United States Air Force until honorably discharged in May of 1954. He was then united in marriage to Melicent Wayne in August of 1954. She survives him. Harry was a lifelong active member of the Galesburg community. He owned and operated the Leng?s Hardware store from 1958 through 1986. Surviving Harry are children; Richard Eloise Leng of Safety Harbor, FL; Mark Sheri Leng of Sacramento, CA; Karen Jeff LaFave of Escanaba, MI; and Kathleen Derrek Kim of Caledonia, MI; as well as 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Harry in death were; sister, Jean Ives and ; brother, Jack Leng. Graveside services will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, July 20, 2007, Minister Jim Cobbs, officiating. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., Galesburg, MI.
