Harrison Stewart Pluta

April 20, 1996 — August 23, 2018

PLUTA, Harrison Stewart
of Portage, MI

Harrison died peacefully at home, Thursday evening, August 23, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Harrison was born April 20, 1996, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2001 and had been employed with Arbor Credit Union until his illness struck. A member of Valley Family Church, Harrison was heavily involved in Children's Ministry and had a passion for the youth. Harrison is survived by his parents, Ken and Missy Pluta of Portage; a sister, Maddie Pluta of Portage; two grandmothers; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held two o'clock Saturday, September 8, at the Valley Family Church, 2500 Vincent Ave, Portage, MI. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. As this is a Celebration of Life, it was Harrison's request that no black be worn but rather bright colors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Valley Family Church (valleyfamilychurch.org). To learn more about Harrison's story and ways we are sharing his memories, please visit the Facebook page "Conquering Cancer with #TeamPluta." You can also visit Harrison's personalized webpage at www.langeland.com for direction, online guestbook, and or to leave a condolence. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Private burial will take place at a later date. Harrison was a special young man that had a heart for the Lord, an incredible sense of humor, an infectious smile, and brought joy to everyone around him. Because of the way he lived in Christ, his legacy is "legen... wait for it" #HIMYM
