Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was born October 27, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Nick and Hattie Jager Van Dyke and was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo. Harriet graduated from the eighth grade from the William Street School and worked as a bookkeeper for Elhing Brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and one brother. Harriet is survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Van Dyke; two nephews and three nieces. Funeral services will be held in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at West Cooper Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the West Michigan Cancer Center, 200 N. Park St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
