Kalamazoo, MI Harriet B. Bachman, age 97, died peacefully on Saturday morning, March 9, 2013 in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born January 23, 1916 in Staples, MN a daughter of Harry G. and Beulah E. Nason Boardway. On July 17, 1936 Harriet was united in marriage with Ralph E. Bachman. She worked as a realtor for Jaqua Realtors. Harriet and Ralph lived on Gull Lake for many years and moved to Arizona when they retired. Harriet was preceded in death by: her parents; her loving husband, Ralph in 1999; and a son, Craig Bachman in 2007. Harriet returned to Kalamazoo a few years ago. Surviving are: three children and their spouses, Lee David Weiss, Kay Murry Sumner and Peter Peggy Bachman; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hobby; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Upjohn Community Care Center.
