Formerly of Burton, Michigan Age 88, died Wednesday April 2, 2008 at his residence, Park Place Assisted Living Center. Harold was born, March 13, 1920 in Pigeon, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; son, Gary who died in Vietnam; his parents; sisters, Edna, Iva, Inez, Verna and Beatrice; brothers, Oscar, Irvin, Walter and Robert. Surviving are his children, Myrna Kreh of Flint, twin sons, Dale and wife Merle of Mattawan and Dean of Burton; 4 grandchildren, Stacey and husband Mike Ballard, Amie and husband Victor David, Kristie and husband Tobyn Friar, Layne and wife Tiffany Kreh, and; 6 great grandchildren. He married Alice Edwards in September 19, 1945 and was a resident of Burton from 1951 until moving to Portage in 1992. He retired from General Motors AC Plant in 1977 and was a member of Bentley Wesleyan Church in Burton. Visitation will be Sunday, April 6th from 2 - 6:00PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St., Kalamazoo. Funeral services will take place on Monday, the 7th 11:00AM at Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, 901 Garland St., Flint with a visitation 1-hour prior to services. Rev. Charles Connors will officiate. Burial at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent in Harold's memory, to Portage Free Methodist Church Building Fund or Hospice of Southwest Michigan. www.langelands.com
