BELLISLE, Mr. Harold J.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Thursday evening March 6, 2008 at his residence. Harold was born February 6, 1928 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of James and Mary Bezio Bellisle. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with InterKal for 30 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Lucille Bellisle on October 23, 1986; 2 brothers, Sanjo and Donald; a sister, Eleanor; and a daughter-in-law, Josephine. He is survived by his companion, Earline Carothers; his first wife, Mary Meek of Big Rapids, MI; 8 children, Diane Boyer of Big Rapids, MI, David Bellisle of Nebraska, Maralene Mike Smario of Iowa, Tim and Tom Bellisle both of Florida, and Frank Sandra Darnell, Cora Larry Schreiner, an Retha Travis Cox all of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Patricia Boyer, Christine Zeigler, Roger Boyer II, Brandy, Jason, Triston, and Matthew Bellisle, Michael Cox, Lenny "Deuce" Cote, Mary Diane Smario, Jacob and Eli Bellisle, Shannon Bice, Ryan Darnell, and Leesa Jaquays; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Bellisle of Parchment; a sister, Maxine Longjohn of Plainwell, MI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 1 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway with Pastor Roger A. Boyer II officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. www.langelands.com
