HAAN, Gregory Kalamazoo Gregory John Haan passed away early Saturday morning. Greg was the youngest of four children of John and Joanne Haan. Besides his parents, he is survived by a precious son, Jonathan, Jonathan?s mother, Nicole Pelton and his Grandma Kathy. Also surviving are his siblings, Vicki Shari Haan-Boone, Pam Leo Nyhof and Karen Ted Haan-Gower. He also had eleven nieces and nephews and one grand-niece. Greg will be remembered for his ready wit and sense of humor. His family and loved ones rejoice in knowing that he has been loosed from the illness and earthly trials he faced on a daily basis. God?s word proclaims: ?I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us? Romans 8:18. The Battle Hymn of the Republic was very special to Greg and gives comfort to those left behind: ?Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored, He has loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword, His truth is marching on! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on. In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea, with a glory in His being that transfigures you and me. As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free! While God is marching on!? There will be no public visitation or service. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
