NIEWOONDER, Miss Grace
Kalamazoo, MI Died Monday morning July 27, 2009. Grace was born October 18, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Eppe and Sinnie Schreuder Niewoonder. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Kalamazoo State Hospital for 41 years before retiring. Grace was also a member of Second Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Niewoonder; and 3 sisters, Joyce Niewoonder, Winnie French, and Mildred Meade. She is survived by a brother, Marvin Johanna Niewoonder of Plainwell; and 2 sisters, Wilma Leo Vander Horst of Grand Rapids, and Barbara Phillip Nieboer of Kalamazoo; a brother-in-law, Frank Elleen French of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 12 noon Thursday at the Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
