MULDER, Grace
of Kalamazoo Passed away October 1, 2010 at Park Place Assisted Living. She was born July 29, 1921 in Decatur, Michigan to the late Benjamin and Mary Mepyans Gruizinga. Grace was united in marriage on June 21, 1941, to Robert "Bob" Mulder, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2009. She enjoyed family camping trips, sewing, baking her specialty was "dutch apple pie". She shared her creations with the Open Door and the Next Door for many years. She loved nature; she was patient, kind, giving and understanding. She loved to laugh. No matter what her circumstances, she always took wonderful care of her family. She had a great love for her God, her country, family and friends. Also surviving Grace are her children, Robert Sharon Mulder Jr. of Otsego, Kay Dennis Marchand of Plainwell and Paula Mulder-Stovall of Comstock; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sister, Julia Richard Kubicek; and many nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 11:30 - 1:30pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with a 2:30 pm burial at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, immediately following visitation. A Memorial service at Texas Corners Bible Church, 7780 S. 8th St., will take place at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, to the Texas Corners Bible Church, or the American Heart Association.
