LEVE, Grace H. Kalamazoo Mrs. Leve passed away early Wednesday morning, November 1, 2006 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born May 22, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Walter and Elsa Mae Scholz Burmeister. After moving to Kalamazoo in 1962, Grace was employed by Kalamazoo Anesthesiology for over 20 years until her retirement in 1983. She enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle, and traveling. Grace loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leve also volunteered, translating books into brail, at Zion Lutheran Church where she was a member. Surviving are one son, Jim Cindy Mitchell Leve of Oshtemo; one grandson, Jim Julie Doyle of Portage; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Brittany, and Hailie all at home; two brothers, Walter Maxine Burmeister of KY, and Robert Helen Burmeister of Venice, FL; nieces and nephews, Julie, Bob Jr, Richard, and Roger; ?uncle? Al Will of Traverse City; and many other family and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, and one sister, Charlotte Burmeister. Funeral services for Mrs. Leve will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd, with Rev. Louis Grother and Rev. Larry Brelje officiating. Interment will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to Great Lakes Burn Camp or Zion Lutheran Church.
