Grace Geren

GEREN, Grace Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, March 19, 2007. She was born July 5, 1917 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, the daughter of David and Henrietta Moerman Verdries and had been a lifelong resident of the area. During WW II, she worked at the Shakespeare Company. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Rosmand, in 2004; and a son, Jack Geren. She is survived by her children, Robert Geren of Kalamazoo, Dolores John Buddemeier of Lawrence, Tom Geren of Kalamazoo and Jim April Geren of Arizona; daughter-in-law, Jackie Geren, Kalamazoo; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Interment will take place at East Cooper Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be directed to Borgess VNA Hospice.
