CLARK, Grace
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away on Saturday, November 15 at Kairos Dwelling. Grace was born January 15, 1934 in Bono, AR, the daughter of James William and Bronnie Castleberry Jordan. She lived in Arkansas until the age of 17 and moved to Kalamazoo in 1952. Grace was employed as a contract carrier for the Kalamazoo Gazette for 20 years. She was a former member of the General Baptist Church. She had the biggest heart in the world and was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to all. She was an excellent cook with her fried chicken and chocolate pies being her specialties. If you ever left her house hungry, it was your own fault. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, by a grandson John Doyle, a sister Lucille Bledsoe and a brother Jimmie Jordan. On August 11, 1951, she was married to Floyd Clark, who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Floyd Michael Clark of Galesburg, Deborah Eric Craig of South Bend, IN, Eddo Kim Clark of Kalamazoo and Charles Clark Kimberly Plunkett of Parchment; 9 grandchildren, Jacob Doyle, Joshua, Channon, Caleb, Hope and Cecelia Clark, Ryan and Amanda Plunkett and Christopher Ellis; a brother William Marsha Jordan of Hastings and 2 sisters Mildred Arnold-Kendra of Portage and Joan Jim Jenkins of Little Rock, AR; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 o'clock Tuesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with the Rev. Theda McBryde, Chaplain for Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan officiating. Friends may meet the family beginning at 12 Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Private interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock Township. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Grace's memory be made to Kairos Dwelling or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
