BROWN, Mr. Gordon D., Jr.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Tuesday morning February 7, 2012. Gordon was born August 27, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois a son of Gordon and Frances Keeting Brown, Sr. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1970, coming from Chicago, IL. Gordon was also a member of the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gordon is survived by a sister, Katherine Rodney Smith of Indian Trail, NC; a nephew, Kyle David Smith of Chicago. IL; a niece, Kia Michelle of Chicago, IL; a special cousin, Michael Spencer Golden of South Holland, IL; and several other cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to the Allen Chapel A.M.E.
