Gloria Janice (Hamilton) Shaw

Passed away Sunday morning, October 13, 2019. She was born April 22, 1926 in Martin County, IN the daughter of the late Lester and Marie (Baker) Hamilton. On July 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Ernest Shaw who preceded her in death on April 18, 2019. Janice was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church and was employed for 26 years with the Van Buren County Health Department as a vision technician. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing crafts of all kinds. Janice was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her children, Michael (Rainelle) Shaw, Rhonda Herron, Bradley (Fran) Shaw; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Joyce Kerns, Franklin (Mary) Hamilton, Dwain (Micky) Hamilton, June Burris, Charles (Donna) Hamilton, Glen (Sherry) Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 6-8pm Wednesday, October 16 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street. Services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, October 17 at the Lighthouse Community Church, 4321 South 11th Street. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. A light reception will follow the committal service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the Dementia Society of America.
